In the spring of 2006, the first Cory O'Brien Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Ashley Uno from Eastlake High School. During her high school years Ashley was able to balance volunteer work in the community with a busy academic and social schedule. She did volunteer work for the Junior Orthopedic Guild and served as Public Relations officer for a community service group called Assisteens. Academically she excelled in the classroom with college prep classes while being a varsity cheerleader. We are pleased to present Ashley with this scholarship and wish her well at Washington State University where she is pursuing a Communications degree.

Kimberly is majoring in Communications at WSU.
Anne Marolich was our 2008 recipient. Although having to deal with a learning disability all her life, Anne still managed to graduate from Eastlake with a 3.6 G.P.A.. While at Eastlake, Anne also volunteered as a member of the Children's Hospital Junior Guild, knit scarves and hats and regularly made sandwiches for the homeless in Tent City as well as being a member of the Sammamish Rowing Club and pursuing her photography hobby.
